Bauhaus x KlebeBande

For the Bauhaus Archive, we created a collage-like installation in direct reference to the collages created in the Bauhaus School in the 1930s. To do so, we combined the “Bandenmuster” and arrow constructions with overlapping, semi-transparent color surfaces – three typical style elements of the KlebeBande.

We started out from a very rough draft, which gave us plenty of scope for experimentation. Using different adhesive materials, we then created the color-intensive, high-contrast design.

Together we developed a way of working in which the three of us could work freely and in parallel on the same design and on different levels. By periodically changing positions, we created a unique tape art wall collage.
