In recent years, KlebeBande has conceived and realized a whole series of extensive façade designs in Berlin and Munich that impress with their attention to detail, their proximity to the object being worked on and their enriching effect on the urban environment. These projects span various buildings and use a variety of materials and techniques to create unique works of art in public spaces.
In 2016, the 120 m² installation "Reconstruct Destruction" was created on the EUREF Campus in Berlin, which depicts the structures of the Gasometer Tower in an abstract way. Here, the KlebeBande showed how architectural elements can inform and enrich an artistic realization.
As part of the Berlin Mural Fest 2018, the KlebeBande transformed the main entrance of the Holzmarkt in Berlin into the 120 m² mural "Me, Myself & Eye", which combined foil and spray techniques. The work addresses social issues such as consumption and the urban environment. With its colorful attention to detail, the work unfolds a magical attraction for visitors and contributes greatly to the recognition value of the collage-like Gesamtkunstwerk Holzmarkt.
"Der bunte Baum" on Hausvogteiplatz in Berlin is an installation based exclusively on spray paint that turns the view from the window of the offices opposite into an uplifting experience. This 500 m² façade painting from 2019 shows the beauty of nature and its symbiosis with the city in a prism-like kaleidoscope of leaves.
The Atlas high-rise in Munich's Werksviertel impresses with its expressive design and the striking sphere on the roof. We artistically designed three large facades with a total of 600 m² on the outside and 15 floors inside the building with an area of 330 m² to bring the mythological figure of the titan Atlas to life, from his conception to his ascent to Olympus. By combining facade foil, spray paint and modern tape art in a reduced color palette, we created a purist design reminiscent of Greek busts and an impressive interpretation of mythology.
KlebeBande's installation on the grounds of the Königliche Porzellanmanufaktur (KPM) in Berlin transforms the manufactory's chimney into an eye-catching art object. The 300 m² chimney was covered with the "band pattern" to dissolve the spatial dimensions and create a surreal object. By using fabric tape and spray cans, we transformed the heart of this traditional craft into a striking example of contemporary art.
Inspired by the architecture and interior design of the "Stayurban Charlotte Gold" apartment building in Charlottenburg, KlebeBande 2022 designed the "Urban Jungle" installation. We designed the façade facing the street using gold-colored expanded metal. We decorated the passageway to the leafy backyard with an urban jungle motif and the typical black and white band pattern. We also integrated peacock motifs and gold accents.
