One of our most comprehensive interior art projects: KlebeBande designed a comprehensive art concept for the new offices in the historic Oberpostdirektion for clients mobile.de and Kleinanzeigen. The close collaboration with Stöckert Architekten and the interdisciplinary approach enabled us to develop a well thought-out, holistic approach and a detailed elaboration of the look and feel of all elements. The aim was to transform the five floors, which cover a total of 6000 square meters and offer space for 500 workstations, into a creative and inspiring working environment. Each floor was given its own theme, reflecting the atmosphere of the 1920s in Berlin:
"Berlin Place" is a tribute to the vibrant capital of the 1920s. The automotive revolution and its influence on society is presented on the floor with the theme "Automobiles". Another floor pays tribute to the influential personalities of this era. "Vehicles" focuses on the iconic vehicle designs of the time and the first passenger airplanes. On the last floor, we have created a fusion between the metropolises of the 1920s, namely Berlin, Paris, New York and Chicago.
A variety of materials and techniques were used to realize the extraordinary designs, including painting, 3D printing, large-scale art wallpaper and glass design. Particularly noteworthy are the large-format, custom-made wallpapers in the conference rooms, which set impressive visual accents to match the interior design, as well as the integration of innovative 3D printing elements.
This project is an example of outstanding interior design that picks up on historical themes and reinterprets them in modern working environments. The Oberpostdirektion - Berlin of the 1920s combines creativity, history and functionality in a unique way.
